Making Memories, One Line A Day

I love writing. It’s why I write a blog – I love having my own space to record what I’ve been up to, things I like and dislike and so on. I’ve kept a diary on and off since I was younger. I sometimes find filling up half a page a day can be a bit challenging, but still wanted a way to record little moments and random happenings of the day – things that I would otherwise forget and lose forever.

As soon as I saw this beautiful little book I knew I had to have it. I’ve actually seen one of these on a blog post before, but can’t remember whose blog it was – if it was yours, please let me know and I’ll link to your post! I think this is such a lovely idea.

Memory book pages diary

Each little page is split into five, giving you just enough space to jot down a couple of thoughts or memories from the day – and each year you add to it, and can look back on how you felt on that day in the previous years. I think it’s the perfect, hassle free way to keep a diary.

Not only that, but this book is lovely to own. I love the duck egg blue cover with it’s gold embossed title, the pages are trimmed with gold and it feels like such good quality.

I love how it looks on my bookshelf and really look forward to writing in it. It was relatively inexpensive from Amazon – you can buy different versions, go and have a look!

What do you think of my little diary? Do you keep a diary yourself?

  5. Cute diary book need to ck out amazon. I always had a diary for thoughts and poetry. Even though we have the convenience of technology is good to have a diary book your own print (handwritten) is in it to cherish.

  11. That's a brilliant idea! The digital version of this seems to be Timehop, though I think I would like a more analog way of doing it. I'd probably forget after a few weeks though.

  20. I love this! I always have a notebook and my diary in my handbag. In fact, I got laughed at a few days ago for the fact that I still have a paper diary and don't do my planning on my phone or tablet!

This is really lovely though and I think I might have to join you and get one!

  29. Nice find...and a totally great idea! I'm just not very keen on writing...I've never been a great writer and I do sometimes struggle to come up with content for my blog. But this book is a great b/c you don't have to write an essay, it can be a line or two for memories. I think I might have to get this...esp when I start a family. Thanks for sharing!

  34. I love the idea of this, I've tried so many times to keep up a diary but always end up giving up! I think these look lovely and particularly like how you can have memories of the same day over many years all together. Also theres no set printed date on it so it doesn't look awful if you dont make an entry each day!
