My Song Of The Month - Of Monsters And Men – Little Talks

I think I must be the last person in the world to have listened to this song, and I really don’t know why, because indie folk is literally my favourite thing ever and this went to number 3 in the UK charts…how on earth did I miss it?! I love boy/girl bands because I listen to them and imagine that I'm the lead singer playing at a festival...err yeah... in my dreams!

When I did finally get around to hearing this song I fell in love with it and I’ve played it over and over again ever since. It makes me feel like I’m dancing barefoot in a field at a festival…which I WILL be because they are playing at Rock Werchter! Well, OK, I might not be barefoot, because knowing me I’d probably step on a wasp/needle/cup of coffee… I currently have a burnt mouth because yesterday I had a meeting with an important manager, he bought me coffee so I felt like I should drink it. Instantly. Had to style it out when really I wanted to run to the nearest freezer and eat ice cubes.

Anyway, getting back to the song – go and listen to it! It’s really carnivalesque and it’ll put you in a good mood, I promise!

  4. I love this song, I think I was one of the first British people to hear it, as the band are from Iceland, and some of my Icelandic friends showed it to me before it was even getting played on the radio in Britain.

    Lovely Blog
