Champagne afternoon tea!

To celebrate my Mum’s birthday, my sister and I took her and my Dad out for a Best of British afternoon tea at Fanham’s Hall – where they got married years ago!

It turns out trying to take a serious photograph of yourself when your Dad is sitting next to you is a little bit difficult, but I got there in the end…!

We booked the tea for 3pm and were greeted with glasses of British-made prosecco. I wasn’t too hopeful but actually this was some of the nicest sparkling wine I’ve ever tasted (and I’m a big fan of sparkling wine!)

Afternoon tea

By the time the food arrived we were all starving. We ate our way through three layers of sandwiches, scones and cakes

All washed down with what else – tea! My breakfast tea was lovely, my Dad went for something more adventurous and wasn’t such a fan!

It’s a really beautiful place and as the English weather is finally starting to realise it’s June, not January, we went for a happy family walk around the grounds afterwards.

I can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon! What did everyone else get up to this weekend? Remember to enter my 100 follower giveaway if you haven't already to win Essie, Urban Decay, Soap & Glory and Lush products!
