Brunch At Lantana's

On Friday night, I went to a work party and had quite a lot of champagne. As the night dizzily ended, my work colleague and I realised we were going to need a hangover cure in the morning...and as far as I'm concerned, the only way to cure a hangover is to eat!

Our brunch place of choice was Lantana Cafe, a little Australian cafe tucked away in Fitzrovia (not far from Goodge Street tube station). We had to wait ten minutes or so, and then sat outside. It amazes me, being able to sit outside in England in late September! The street it sits on is really pretty and we ordered tea and orange juice while we ummed and aahed over the menu.

Seriously, I wanted to order everything, but eventually I went for the corn fritters, stacked with streaky bacon, fresh spinach and slow roasted tomatoes, served with avacado and lime salsa. Just look at it!

My friend went for poached egg on sourdough toast with a side of smoked salmon.

I can really recommend Lantana if you're looking for a little brunch place in London. It does get busy but like I say, we went on Saturday and it really wasn't too bad! The service was brilliant and the food was gorgeous - I'll definitely be back!
