Dinner with my friends at the weekend – we went to a little place called Smokey Mojos in Hertford. It’s BYOB so we had some Prosecco (or, in my friends’ case, went a bit old school with Archers Schnapps) and then a huge dinner of cold mezee to start followed by Peking duck for me!
Afterwards we went to our favourite pub, which has been renovated and looks really pretty. I wasn’t really drinking, and it actually reinforced that I like my friends so much, I don’t actually need to drink to have fun with them!
Coffee with the family – on Sunday morning my Aunt came over and we all went to our local garden centre for lattes and catch ups. It was such a lovely morning (although I wanted to buy a new Yankee candle but they didn’t have any I liked – boo!)
Cake on Sunday afternoon – we went over to my friends’ house to enjoy the amazing cake she’d baked for my friends’ birthday. M&Ms and butter icing are a marriage made in heaven.
Tour de France watching – our office window looks out over the main road in Canary Wharf that the cyclists flew down, so we were all gathered with our noses pressed up against the glass (well – some people braved the rain outside, but I’m a fair weather watcher!) I have to admit it was quite exciting getting a birds eye view!
Decluttering – I’ve decided I’m sick of having a wardrobe so full, I can’t even see into it, so I’m slowly sorting out all my things and getting rid of the bits I don’t want. I’ve got a lot of things selling on ebay for the first time ever, so if you’re interested, go and check them out - link here! (Bit of shameless self promotion there...)
Pampering – since my spa day I’ve realised how nice it was to relax and how badly I need to do that more often. We’re lucky enough to have a health centre in our building complex and I went down there on Sunday night and just spent some time floating in the Jacuzzi and relaxing in the steam room. It was so nice and I really feel like you can see the benefits in my skin already.
Taking care of myself – Vitamins. Vegetables. Lots of water. Early nights. It’s so nice when you’ve been a bit run down to finally feel yourself coming back to life again!
What have you been enjoying this week?
