Where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday I was standing on a hill at sunset in Padstow, with my fiancé down on one knee and the most beautiful ring I’d ever seen glittering in the box in front of me. And yet it’s been almost a year (he proposed on the 5th September) and in 25 days I will be walking down the aisle to become Mrs Perrins. I am so excited and overwhelmed I can hardly believe it.
We’re pretty much done with all the organising now, there’s just a few tiny things left to do – gifts to buy, manicures to book, jewellery to collect, and so on. Ian had his stag do at the weekend and came back suitably ruined, with photographs of himself in a dress…! I have my final hen do next weekend and I feel like we really are on final countdown mode. Today I’ve got an appointment to get my passport in my new name – just seeing it written down is so incredibly strange!
I’ve been really making the most of my last month of being a bride to be – pinning everything onto my wedding Pinterest, reading wedding books (Shopaholic Gets Married – dreamy dream), buying wedding magazines and reading blogs and making countless annoying Facebook statuses/Instagram posts and just generally trying to enjoy it as much as I can, because I’m practically already nostalgic for being engaged, I’ve loved it so much!
